Language patch for Snap Shots Plugin for WP

The search engine Snap works by displaying a preview thumbnail for each search result. Therefore, they have a fairly large database of website snapshots. They also offer a service to webmasters that allows them to include the preview feature into the links their own webpages. This site makes use of this service through the Snap Shots Plugin by Ajay D’Souza.

I have written a small patch for his plugin that enables an administrator to choose the language in which the Snap Preview window will appear. The patch is written for Version 1.3 of the plugin and requires the UTF-8 encoding to be used in your blog for the native language names to be displayed correctly.

The patch can be applied by executing the following command in the ald-spa directory (the path to the patch file may vary and must be modified accordingly):

patch -p1 < ald-spa-1.3-p2-language.patch

For the lazy people and those without patch (such as Windows users), I have prepared a zip file containing the modified files.

NOTE: This patch is provided on an as-is basis. It comes with no warranty whatsoever. I highly recommend to backup the original files in case the patch fails. I take no responsibility for any damage resulting from the use of this patch/modified software. You have been warned.

I just updated the patch and it now supports all 40 languages currently supported by Snap itself.
